Terri J. Mitko has focused her practice in the area of family law, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, for more than 20 years. A native of Beaver County, she graduated from Freedom Area High School in 1976, from Earlham College in 1980, from The Institute for Paralegal Training in 1981, and from Duquesne University School of Law in 1986, where she was a member of and Executive Comment Editor of the Duquesne Law Review.
Prior to her admission to the practice of law, and while she attended law school, Ms. Mitko worked as a paralegal for several law firms in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She also has clerked for the Honorable James E. Rowley, in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania as well as for the Honorable Joseph Ridge in the Criminal Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.
Attorney Mitko is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, having been admitted to practice in all courts in Pennsylvania as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Attorney Mitko is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association where she is also a member of the Family Law Section and the Collaborative Law Committee. She is a member of the Beaver County Bar Association where she serves as an Officer for the Board of Governors. She is also Chair of the Bar Association’s Domestic Relations Rules Committee as well as the Peaceful Dispute Resolution Committee.
Attorney Mitko is a member of CLASP – the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and of IACP – the International Association of Collaborative Practitioners.
Attorney Mitko regularly presents seminars to her peers on various topics in the area of family law.
